Malcolm Wright is the Founder and CEO of Ebiar Consulting Services– a global market entry advisory firm with deep business leadership experience and fresh, relevant perspectives on key global economies and cultural awareness. In fact, Malcolm recently completed Harvard Business School’s Leading Global Businesses program to advance his learning.
A senior executive with 25+ years’ experience leading high-performance International Teams, Malcolm’s hallmark of success is his proven approach for skillfully crafting, communicating and executing compelling “new market” strategies. He is highly proficient across all global product segments for both expat and inpat insurance including group (i.e., book and experience-rated), student, individual, medical tourism and travel.
Prior to forming Ebiar, Malcolm was Chief Commercial Officer for Blue Cross Blue Shield’s GeoBlue business. He held senior Commercial Distribution positions at several Global 500 companies including Bupa Global , Aetna and Cigna. As the Interim General Manager at Bupa Global, Malcolm had P&L responsibility for its multicontinental operations and was appointed a sitting Board member for Bupa Egypt, Cairo.
His early experience includes notable advancements within American Express featuring assignments with Travel, Corporate Travel and Platinum Card. AMEX selected Malcolm for assignments based in London, Houston, Jacksonville and Boston. After a brief return to London, his assignments over the next 13 years took him to Dubai, UAE, where he was responsible for the Africa, India and the Middle East regions. An avid skier and golfer, Malcolm is an ardent PistonHead – a member of an online motoring community and leading premium car marketplace. Malcolm resides in the greater Atlanta, Georgia area.
